After our discoveries in Gorze and Sillegny, we went back to the north, to Metz. Lars and I were in the mood again to visit a couple of wineries.
We first ended up in a small village called Marieulles:
To be honest, Lars and I had already been here in the morning, but the winery we wanted to visit was closed because of maintenance works. According to the list we had received from the Tourist Information Office, there was another one in the village and we did find it in the afternoon. Unfortunately it was closed as well.
But we made two other very interesting discoveries! The first one was a chapel which was built in the 15th century. It is called the Chapelle Saint-Léonard. When Lars and I entered it, it was so dark that we couldn’t find a light switch. Or maybe there wasn’t one… Anyway, I had to make my pictures in complete darkness! This is how the chapel looked like.
Good results for such a dark inside.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thanks, Francine! They are a lot better than I had expected!
Charming! — YUR
We think so too!
What a very pretty chapel. You and your camera did well.
Hooray for my camera
