The Viking and I each made a top 5 of beautiful places we saw during Our Adaptable Adventure. We’ll start with mine!
5. Helnæs
I don’t know how many times I have been in Denmark, but every time we still manage to find new beautiful places. H was a spectacular discovery! What a desolate landscape!
4. Montignac
The complete name is actually Montignac – Lascaux. What a pretty and charming town! Okay, we saw a lot of those in the Dordogne. But Montignac was less crowded than the others; probably that’s the reason why it made into my top 5.
Another opportunity to confront ourselves with our fear of heights! Although I sincerely hope that Eliasson’s next artwork will be a bit lower to the ground. A simple but brilliant idea though.
2. Yvoire
At the coast of the Lake Leman. I remember I had to sit down, because the view at the lake was simply … breathtaking. And I can’t wait to explore the Swiss side!
1. Lysefjord
I fulfilled a lifelong dream by going to Norway this year. Apart from the high prices, I loved every second of my stay. And Lysefjord is without any doubt one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
Now, it’s The Viking’s turn:
5. Assens
The Viking was impressed by the big church in the small picturesque town and its harbor.
4. Lysefjord
According to the Viking, it was “an exotic place for a person from a flat Denmark”.
3. Vidå Sluse
The Viking loved the flat landscape behind the sluice. Nature is very dramatic there.
The Viking loved conquering his fear of heights in an artwork!
1. Grenen
It was the first time The Viking saw two seas meeting each other!
