On 2 August, The Viking and I decided to take it easy. We explored the region a bit, without taking any pictures and went looking for food. Henrik gave us the name and address of a good supermarket and we were certainly not disappointed. Prices were reasonable and there was a huge variety of quality food.
Although we like our cosy apartment in Brussels very much, there is one thing that we do miss: we can’t sit outside. No terrace, no balcony, nothing. When the weather is fine, we have to seek refuge in a park. Now that we had a little house with not one, but two terraces, we were of course not going to stay inside.
Every evening, we ate outside. We cooked a simple, but delicious dinner. Afterwards, we watched the sun go down and looked at the changing colors of the sky. And then we waited until we saw the stars appear. Every evening we had this same ritual. And although it was very simple, we enjoyed it very much.
You both are so beautiful and look like you are having so much fun; all the time!!
We try to
gosh, you just keep me thinking that I need to have an adventure! Oh, and I liked what you wrote and enjoyed your pictures.
Thank you! And besides, adventures are everywhere!
Brussels! I’m going to be there for one day next June! You’re so excellent with your adventures, I hope you can tell me a “must see” or two or three!
Sure! Just send us a mail or contact us on Facebook!
There’s a lot to be said for the simple life. Enjoyed the post.
Thanks, Karen!
Looks and sounds fabulous
And it was!
I love that t-shirt the Viking has on!
Romantic, isn’t it?
The food pulled me back…
And there will be a lot more food later on the blog
It looks like good times for you. Beautiful couple!
Thank you, Amberr!
That looks so pleasant!
And so it was! But now we are back in Brussels
My husband would enjoy this so much. I would never get him off the terrace.
I know the feeling! We loved it so much!
