Discovering and photographing the unknown beauty of Europe
Earlier this year we had been in Faaborg, but then we had restricted our visit to the harbor.
Faaborg is situated in the south of Fyn, not far from Svendborg:
Some of the biggest attractions are outside the city, such as Egeskov Castle and Horne Kirke. But Faaborg itself does have a little gem, which tends to be overlooked. Right in the center lies the old town, consisting of colorful timbered houses, a 15th century bell-tower and a city-gate. All of this has been very well preserved, but tends be ignored by tourists (in favor of the nearby shopping street). Well, we didn’t ignore it and took some pictures. The blue sky I had been hoping for in winter wasn’t there, but the colors of the old houses make up for that!
Here are the other pictures!
