The next stop caused a bit of confusion for us. We found ourselves at the beginning of the Midnight Love tour again, at the Tourist Information Office. Almost automatically, I started taking pictures of the surroundings. The Viking and I looked around, but couldn’t find any sign of Studio Katy, the name of this stop. Had it disappeared? In 30 years, a town can change enormously!
The video on our iPod soon made it all clear to us. Studio Katy is not located in Ostend, but in Ohain, which is situated in the French speaking of the country. So, although Midnight Love was composed in Ostend, it was recorded in this studio in Ohain.
We found it a bit confusing and useless to include a stop that actually doesn’t exist. At least not in Ostend! Anyway, I also discovered this on YouTube:
And these are the pictures that I took:
Hi,
Very easy to mix up, the two names are very similar.
That’s kind of silly that they include a stop that doesn’t exist instead of just notes about it on hte tour…
