How to make a Viking happy

The Viking and I like to give each other meaningful, personal gifts, if possible gifts that we have made ourselves. It’s one of my greatest joys to surprise him and to have the gift delivered at our apartment. The smile that then appears on his face always makes me happy. And so do the hugs and kisses afterwards.

Since we are often on the road, we have a lot of pictures on our PC. We use some of them for the blog, but most of them stay on the hard disk. So, from time to time, I like to do something creative with my pictures. This time I made a collage of some of the pictures I had made during the Christmas vacation in Denmark.

This car trip was very important for us. Not only because of the festive occasion, and the wish of The Viking to spend some time with his family. There was another reason. This was our first big car trip, since I became ill and was hospitalized in Slovenia during our big summer trip. Luckily, it all happened at the end of our trip, so it didn’t spoil our summer vacation. Since we came back to Belgium, we hadn’t made any big excursions. The doctors were against it and frankly I was too ill anyway. So, we restricted our excursions to Belgium and its surroundings.

But we missed being on the road. So, when the Christmas vacation came and I felt better, we were on the road again! And it felt wonderful! So, to remember this happy period I made this collage and had it printed by a professional company. And my Viking is still smiling …

Very nice collage, especially because you put the dog picture in it.

The collage is cool and I’m sure it will take pride of place on the wall. Nice to put a face to The Viking. :) Handmade gifts do have that extra special something, something about them. You know they have come from the heart.

Thanks for the comment! We had to look for some space on the wall, because it’s quite full :-)
