In case you didn’t know, Belgium is known for chocolate
Here in Brussels, you find big and small stores where you can buy can chocolates. Some of them produce the products themselves and you can even visit the workshop. And last but not least, there is also a museum dedicated to our national product, but the one in Bruges is a lot better.
Bruges is actually the chocolate capital of Belgium. This is the place where it all began in the Middle Ages. And – even better – every year during one month, there is a huge chocolate festival. This year it starts on 6 November and lasts until 8 December. The program sounds exciting! There are restaurants with special chocolate menus, chocolate workshops, beauty institutes that offer chocolate wellness, and so on. The festival is called Choc’in Brugge; here you can find a lot more information: http://chocinbrugge.be/en/.
Enjoy! And if you can make it to Bruges, you could also come to Brussels. The Viking and I know a couple of good chocolate addresses!
I’m on my way. Yes, Belgium’s reputation for good chocolate has made it to the States – at least to my part of the States.
Good to know that Americans know something about Belgium
Wow! I wish I was in Bruges right now. Enjoy!
I know … the chocolates from Belgium are relly the best! I always buy them here in Holland at the Leonidas shop

Yes, Belgium rules!
This photo should carry a warning: ‘you WILL raid the chocolate stash after seeing this’. I want to go to Belgium!
And you should! There is a whole lot more yummy food than chocolate
